Ah, a South American Porcuplane, a very rare species of light aircraft. Nice find.

Call me a party poop but I can't imagine a plane being within range long enough for that many arrows to hit it. Not to mention the wing fuel tanks would have been Swiss cheese, fuel would have leaked out at a prodigious rate, and the plane almost certainly wouldn't have made it to safety. And if it did at least one of the tires (non-retractable landing gear) should have been hit and flat. This looks more like a deliberate act done on the ground as a form of "art" (or hoax) to me.

For those many arrows to hit that aircraft while in flight would mean the natives have invented a gatling arrow weapon.
If the had the means to invent that, they wouldn't be using arrows in the first place.
